Academics Curriculum and School Level Information
Lake Region Christian School uses ABEKA, BJU Press, Positive Action, AiG, and Summit curricula for classes. Find an academic description below for each school level, from Preschool to High School.
The LRCS preschool program is available for students who are three years old and four years old and fully able to use the restroom independently by the first day of school. Parents may choose a five-day-a-week program or a three-day-a week program. The day runs from 8:30-2:50. Before and after school care is available for an additional fee. Our preschool uses the ABEKA curriculum. During a typical preschool day, our students have a Bible story; work on Scripture memory; recognize, write, and say letters; recognize and write numbers; and work on penmanship. Students also enjoy story time, craft time, and playtime. By the end of the year, our K3 students know their letters and numbers, and our K4 students are able to read simple words. Caring teachers will teach your child and prepare each one for the next grade.

Students are taught reading using a phonetic approach, mathematics, language arts, history, science, and health. The middle school students will use a Bible-based curriculum that challenges the students academically, spiritually, physically, and socially. Students will participate in the core classes as well as music, art, and P.E. Our goal is to challenge our students to discover and develop their God-given potential while equipping each student to serve as a Godly influence in our world.
